MONTHLY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Hilltop Riding Stables will be holding their two day fall /winter Red Cross Volunteer class October 23, 24 2010.  Age 14 and up, please call Hilltop Riding stables Office for times and more information.
  • Reservation are being taken for holiday facility rentals , Plan your party while slots are still open
  • Family Fun day  September 18th  October 16th 1:30 & 3:00 trail ride age 7 and up
  • Child pay full price and the parent pay half price (First come first served)

Closed shoes are required for all Equine activity

Note: Closed toe shoes are required while riding or leading horses and ponies. This facility closes for inclement weather with no notice (101F). A notice will be placed on the gates and all reservations will be called. Sponsored ID is required for military, DoD civilians and retirees. Children under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult on trail rides.


Horseback Riding Rates

Lakeside Rideouts...
Every Sunday (first come, first served)
Two hour guided trail ride to Wilkerson Lake. Mount up time is 1:30 p.m.  Trail ride starts at 2 p.m.  Sponsored - $45 / Unsponsored-$50. (A minimum of 5 riders required.)

Guided Trail Rides... Guided Trail Rides are available on:
Saturday 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m..
Sundays 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m.
Sunday Lakeside ride 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday-Friday 11 a.m. with reservations 24 hours in advance

All trail rides are on a first come, first serve basis. Trail Rides go out promptly at the designated times. Arrive 30 minutes prior to the trail ride starting for sign in procedures.

 Ponies are led by parents.
Group Rates
Nine or more riders can take a one hour guided or self-led trail ride with reservations for $23 per person.

Pony Rides/Barn Tours are available Fall/Winter/Spring Wednesday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Summer Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., for Pre-K through 4th grade (groups of 9 or more by reservation) $6.00 per child. Call 706-791-4864 for reservations.

Youth Horse Camps

ridersOpen to the public, ages 7-13. All camps begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.. Drop off for camp begins at 7:00 a.m. and pickup begins at 4:30 p.m. and all children must be picked up by 5:00 p.m.

General Camp Information
All reservations for horse camp must be made in person at the Hilltop Riding Stables (HTRS) office during normal business hours. All payments for camp must be made to IMWRF and received by the HTRS office no later than 1:00 p.m. on the Saturday two weeks from when the camp session you are paying for starts. Registration forms can be obtained at the HTRS office or Download a Registration Form.

Children attending Youth Horse camps should bring a swimsuit (season permitting) and a change of clothes each day. Please have all children dress properly for the weather. Children should also bring a lunch/snacks packed in a cooler. A locker will be provided for each child. We ask that children do not bring any valuables with them. Hilltop staff will not be responsible for any lost or missing items.

Horse Camps 2010-2011

Birthday Parties

Hilltop Riding Stable is the perfect place for a fun-filled birthday party for children. Parties include four ponies on a carousel for one hour (ages 6 & under) or four 1-hour guided trail rides (ages 7 & up) with party setup (table clothes, 8 balloons and streamers). Ponies are for children 6 and under or 45 lbs. and over.  Inside party rooms or outside playgrounds are available. The cost is $175-sponsored / $200-unsponsored. (extra horses are $23 ea. and extra ponies are $11 ea.) Reservation times are 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Call today for more details at 706-791-4864. Party/group accommodations need to be reserved in advance.

Birthday Parties include:
8 Balloons Streamers of your choice
4 table cloths (with your choice of two colors: red, green, blue, yellow, pink, white, purple, and orange) 4 ponies for a carousel or 4 large horses for trail ride. (Note: 6 and under for ponies with a maximum weight of 45 lbs. / 7 and older for horses)
* Please note that you may rent extra horses or ponies for the lowest rate.
Outside parties will receive an additional 8 balloons instead of streamers.
 
There are 2 party rooms and 3 picnic areas (some have grills) that are available with rentals. The times are 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Party/Group accomodations must be reserved in advance.
Ponies are led by parents.

Riding Permits... 12-month permit for 875 riding area for privately owned horses. Owners are required to have 6-month Coggins and updated shot record. $25 / sponsored

Horse Trailer Rental... 4 horse, bumper pull, local area only. Government ID and $100 deposit required w/reservation. $125/4 hours

Information for incoming boarders: Hilltop requires the following for incoming horses five working days before arrival. All information can be faxed to Hilltop Riding stables at (706) 791-0010. Download the Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) for Boarding Horses.

  1. Coggins: Six months or less Coggins
  2. Shot Records: Eastern/Western, Flu, Rhino, Rabies, West Nile
  3. Wormer: Wormer is to be given when you arrive
  4. Date of Arrival: Hilltop Riding Stables hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sun. - Sat.
